The Disillusionment

I’m sick of my life and I’m sick of myself
My screams are all silent as I beg for help
I used to believe someone would come and save me
But I was tricked by an unreachable dream
I’m sick of this world and I’m sick of this place
I need to get out, launch me into space
Packed into apartments like rats in a cage
I want this to end, move to a new stage
When I’m watching TV I forget I exist
It’s the closest I get to feeling true bliss
Numbing my mind with distractions and games
I don’t want to think about real life again
Years have passed since I’ve been somewhere green
I’m wasting my life living it through a screen
Each day I wake up, same old routine
Inside me builds up a primordial scream
They’ll try to tell you that you’re sick in the head
Why else would you wake up and wish you were dead?
It can’t be because we’ve built this all wrong
And I’ll never find the place where I belong

Across The Void
05:28

I was meant for something greater than this
The stars call my name
My time has come to see a whole new world
And leave this all behind
I’ll sign on, any job that you can give me
I just need to be away from this place
To see myself reflected in the vast skies
A star millions of miles from the closest body
We sail across the void
In our light-speed spacecraft
We watch our planet fade into dust
And vanish in the dark
We must ride the solar winds
Cosmic rays and explosions
And so it began
Through the asteroid field we sail
Among these monstrous stones so frail
And so it will end
We sail across the void
In our light-speed spacecraft
We watch our planet fade into dust
And vanish into dark
Into the open expanse of space
Chasing light, the fastest race
And so it began
And if on our journey we should pass
Throw our corpse to the stars to be free at last
And so it will end
We sail across the void
In our light-speed spacecraft
We watch our planet fade into dust
And vanish into dark
Our destination grows near
And I am filled with fear
What if it’s not all I had hoped? What if it’s just as bad or worse?
Then on another planet I must reside, and I hope to find myself inside

Sold Out

It’s a million-mark advance
Take your weapons and seize every room in that house
Except that goddamn raft
You use it as an outhouse
Cause I got another message
Calling me from the future
Earth is taking her final breaths
And I’m making my last dime
When it’s over, I’ll get sober
You’re waiting for someone
I’m falling, you’re crawling
And I’m telling you it’s just begun
We crossed the deserted plain
In the valley the tides were surging
I could tell we were near the source
My barbed wire friend appeared over there
Exploding outwards
The surface of a mirror
A thousand shards of my life
Scattered across a hundred worlds
When it’s over, I’ll get sober
You’re waiting for someone
I’m falling, you’re crawling
And I’m telling you it’s just begun

Hell on Earth
05:26
|
|||
The weight of millions' years evolution
A part of myself awakened
Older than words. Older than language
Crying out in pain and fear
Why did we make this?
This is not the way it's supposed to be
Driven by instinct towards warmth and safety
I can think of nothing else
So cold. So dark. So ugly
A place built of nightmares
Why did we make this?
This is not the way it's supposed to be
Each of us born and dying alone
Imprisoned in flesh and perception
Clinging to each other
Seeking a friendly outpost
In a godless hostile universe
Powerless within its awe and might
Why am I here?
I never asked for this
Hell! Hell! Hell!
We have created hell on earth
Hell! Hell! Hell!
We have created hell within hell
