The sole movement in the lifeless cavern
Belongs to the distant silhouette in the centermost ring
Once with strength and fight beat these leather wings
Futile, weak, escape forsaken, eternity stretches on

They wave the frigid gust o’er wretched sinners
The worst of their kind, they belong where stillness reigns
Tears frozen over eyes, grotesque expressions
Torturous positions, distorted by the ice

The treacherous do not plead as I slip past
This cursed circle dead and drained
Gray and grim just like the first
Yet it is not emptiness that plagues these souls

Treading past the feeble moans
Of those naive enough to wish
For any semblance of of deliverance
They should have abandoned hope
At the door

The bloodied maws and mangled bodies enter view
The unholy three dead to the sound of their own skulls crushed
The rotted teeth chew almost pensively
But I know He is void of feeling

My gaze locks with that of Satan’s
He stares through me in perpetual haze
Nothing ever changes in this barren wasteland
Nothing ever changes once hell hath frozen over

But I am not bound, I am not broken
I am alive and I see the way
The center of space, the center of evil
I must approach to make my escape

No wonder I find the world is infected
Rot spews forth from the hole at hell’s bottom
Restless gales impede my journey’s end

To re-behold the stars
